Rio Portable Cabana Shelter August 7, 2007 S. Rasich 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
Used this recently on a beach in the Caribbean. It was great. Fit nicely in beach bag and wasn't heavy to haul around. Easy to setup and take down. We were using beach lounge chairs so we didn't stake it down since the chairs were heavy enough to keep it from blowing away. The cabana saved us from getting burned.
Great product September 23, 2007 Tom (TN) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
Simple set up(best done off the beach if it is windy). I was surprised by the amount of room inside the cabana. Great for getting the grand children out of the sun. I don't think the item's description indicated there is a floor but there is. My only complaint is the ground stakes need to be longer to hold the cabana in sand. I bought some of those at Wal-Mart.
Lightweight and spacious January 10, 2009 J. Sorlie (Okemos, MI USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This sun shelter worked well for us. Don't know how long it will last, but it was really handy for our vacation, and small enough to pack into a suitcase. Sturdy enough for typical Florida beach weather. Enough space for three of us not using chairs.
Rio Sun Hut--Excellent Buy for the $$ August 30, 2009 Carolyn 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We bought the Rio Hut for an August trip to Panama City Beach Fl. I have a 2 year old that didn't need a bad sunburn. The hut proved to be an EXCELLENT buy. I didn't even open the package until I got down on the beach, and I found the instructions on assembly very easy to follow. After the first time it only takes about 5 min. to set the tent up. I did purchase extra tent stakes at Walmart before our trip, and I took a rubber head hammer with me. I suggest you do the same as the wind on most beaches can get pretty high. Another suggestion would be to face the tent perpendicular to the water and when you finish staking the tent, push sand up to the sides(on back). This way no wind will be able to get under the tent. This tent also has a floor in it, which we loved. I posted a pic. of the tent (with my Dad sleeping in it), he stayed in it more than my 2yo. Basically if you are thinking about purchasing this and are worried about the quality because the price is so low--don't worry!!! The tent is well-made and the fabric and poles are sturdy.
All it was described as and easy to put up. July 10, 2009 viv garen (michigan) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Exactly as the title. description was good, windows could have been a little bigger to let more breeze through.
